About the event
Gain the confidence in caring for a patient while on a multi-day trip in the bush. As this course is leadership driven, you will be tested in somewhat stressful condition, caring for multiple injured people.
The target audience is for those who will be leading people on a multi-day trip in the backwoods, away from medical care.
Learn how to reduce a shoulder dislocation, or how to do traction into position of certain fractures.
Have you ever wanted to learn how to properly remove a helmet from an injured rider? This course will teach you how to do this, also how to apply an improvised collar for suspected C-Spine injuries.
The course is held over a 40 hour period, where it will be taught mostly in the bush.
